# Frontend Engineer

## About the Role

Omni is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build the product experiences customers use to explore, visualize, and share their data. You will own meaningful frontend features from design through delivery, creating fast, polished, and intuitive interfaces across the product, including experiences that allow customers to embed Omni into their own applications.

This is a high-autonomy role for an engineer who can take ownership of significant areas of the frontend with minimal oversight. You will work closely with Product, Design, and engineering teams across the stack, partner directly with customers to understand their needs, and use modern AI coding tools to increase development velocity and focus on high-impact technical work.

## Key Responsibilities

* Own frontend features end-to-end, including technical decisions, implementation, and delivery.
* Partner directly with customers and Product teams to understand and scope integration requirements.
* Design and build APIs, SDKs, and frontend experiences that enable companies to embed Omni into their own products.
* Move quickly and ship iteratively based on customer feedback.
* Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to improve development velocity and focus on high-leverage technical work.
* Collaborate with engineers across the technology stack as needed.
* Work independently and make technical decisions without requiring day-to-day oversight.
* Represent Embed customer needs in broader product and engineering planning.

## Required Qualifications

### Experience

* 5+ years of software engineering experience.
* 2+ years operating at a senior level.
* Proven experience independently shipping production software and senior-level projects to customers.
* Experience working with data or business intelligence tools or applications, such as SQL, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
* Experience building and maintaining APIs or SDKs consumed by external customers.
* Demonstrated bias toward action and comfort making decisions and shipping with limited oversight.

### Technical Skills

* Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
* Experience with frontend software development.
* Experience with APIs and SDKs.
* Proficiency with AI coding tools and workflows, such as Claude Code and Cursor.
* Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across the technology stack.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Startup experience.
* Working confidence in Java or Python.
* Experience building SaaS applications that run in the cloud.

## Work Arrangement & Location

* **Primary Location:** San Francisco, CA
* **Remote Option:** Available for candidates based near one of Omni’s engineering hubs in Philadelphia, Boulder/Denver, Santa Cruz, or Seattle.
* **Interview Requirement:** Final-round interviews are conducted in person.
