Google Sheets Automation Developer – AI Product Data Extraction

I have an existing Google Sheets template used by our interior design studio for comprehensive FF&E and pre-construction product selections.

I’m looking for a developer to automate the product-entry process.

The Goal

When a team member pastes a product URL into a designated cell (currently Column H), the system should automatically extract the relevant product information from that webpage and populate the corresponding cells in that row.

Information may include:

- Product image
- Product name
- SKU / product code
- Supplier / brand
- Finish
- Colour
- Product description
- Dimensions
- Price, where available
- Other predefined product information

The URLs will come from **many different supplier and manufacturer websites**, so the solution cannot be designed around a single website.

What I Already Have

The Google Sheets FF&E template is already built, including the structure and fields required. I am not looking for someone to redesign the spreadsheet.

I need the automation built around the existing template.

Technical Approach

I’m open to Google Apps Script, APIs, AI-based extraction, web extraction services, or a combination.

I am more interested in **reliability, accuracy and simplicity** than a particular technology.

Ideally, the workflow should simply be:

**Paste URL → product information and image automatically populate → team reviews/adjusts if required.**

Ownership

The completed system must be fully owned and controlled by my business.

All scripts, source code and automation must be provided to us. Any third-party services, API accounts or subscriptions required to operate the system must be established under our own accounts.

The system must not depend on the developer's accounts, API keys or ongoing involvement to continue operating.

Please briefly explain how you would approach this project and provide examples of similar Google Sheets, Apps Script, web extraction or AI automation work you have completed.
